Our planet is constantly moving through space at several speeds. It spins on its axis at approximately 1,000 mph (1,600 km/h) at the equator. Additionally, it orbits the Sun at about 67,000 mph (107,000 km/h). Furthermore, the entire solar system, including the Earth, is moving around the center of the Milky Way galaxy at roughly 483,000 mph (777,000 km/h).
